Sandbach and the Heath

On 1st  June 2025 the parish of St Mary church Sandbach expanded and has now become the parish of St Mary and St John Sandbach. It is also known as the benefice of Sandbach and the Heath.

The Bishop of Stockport commissioned our vicar Bee as Rural Dean at St Mary Sandbach on Thursday 6th November 2025 at 7pm. The parish enjoyed a well attended service commissioning Bee - the first Vicar of this parish to take on this role for over 100 years! See photo below.

Happy New Year 2026

A quote from this month’s letter from the vicar in the Challenge magazine:

'God Knows' by unknown

And I said to the man who stood

at the gate of the year:

"Give me a light that I may tread

safely into the unknown".

And he replied:

"Go out into the darkness and

put your hand into the Hand of God.

That shall be to you better than

light and safer than a known way".

So I went forth, and finding the

Hand of God, trod gladly into

the night.

And He led me towards the hills

and the breaking of day in the

lone East

Vision

Growing God’s Kingdom in us and through us

To be a multi generational church that actively serves the community and is recognised for sharing the love of God

Who We Are

However you describe your spiritual journey, we would love for you to join us on the adventure.

Together as church family we seek to be more like Jesus, to help one another, to share our gifts, to pray and worship God together.

We also seek to serve and care for the people of Sandbach so that all may know they are loved.

Whether you come to church regularly, would be interested in finding out more or simply want to experience the peace and tranquillity of this ancient building.

All are welcome

Led by Revd. Bee Boyde
